Noëlle Vahanian became the Head Coach of the Lebanon Valley College women's tennis team before the start of the 2023-24 season. She is the fourth Head Coach in the program's 33-year history.
Vahanian has cemented her legacy as one of the program’s most successful coaches, having led the Dutchmen to the postseason during each campaign of her tenure and a 42-18 overall record with a 14-4 conference mark. After beginning the 2023-24 campaign with a 13-match unbeaten streak and coaching the program to its first-ever national ranking, she guided Lebanon Valley to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Championship semifinal during her first season at the helm. Vahanian maintained this standard of excellence in 2025 and 2026, helping LVC reach the MAC Freedom Championship final. She has coached 10 All-MAC Freedom Team selections with the Flying Dutchmen, proving her ability to develop top-tier talent while navigating the program's transition into the competitive MAC Freedom.
Vahanian took over a program with a rich history of success and has successfully evolved it into a perennial contender in the MAC Freedom. Her .700 career winning percentage marks a new era of excellence for Lebanon Valley College Women’s Tennis.
Vahanian has mentored the academic achievement of several student-athletes at LVC as well, as eight women’s tennis players have been recognized on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. There have also been 35 student-athletes listed on the MAC Academic Honor Roll, and three players who have received Academic All-MAC accolades. Additionally, 17 student-athletes have been chosen to the Eastern Athletic Communications Association (EAST-COMM) Academic Honor Roll.
Vahanian, who also serves the College as a Professor of Philosophy, brings a unique blend of academic experience and passion for tennis to the court. She holds a junior tennis instruction certification from the Professional Tennis Registry and serves as a Volunteer Instructor for the Lebanon Valley Community Tennis Association. Her coaching philosophy is bolstered by her own experience as an active competitor. Since 2019, she has captained several 18+ and 40+ United States Tennis Association (USTA) Summer League teams. In 2023, she represented the region at the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) National Championships at the USTA National Tennis Center in Orlando, Florida.
Beyond the LVC campus, Vahanian is a dedicated advocate for the sport, having served in multiple leadership roles for the United States Tennis Association. This service includes work on the Central Penn District Junior Programming Committee from 2023 to 2024, the Middle States Community Tennis Committee from 2021 to 2022, and the Central Penn District Grants and Sponsorship Committee from 2020 to 2022.
