Tod Whitman will embark on his first season as an assistant coach with Lebanon Valley's softball program this spring.
He coached travel softball for 14 years with the Central PA Krunch and three years of high school softball at nearby Palmyra. During his career, he has helped more than 30 players reach all levels of Division I, II, and III colleges and universities. Prior to his run coaching softball, Whitman spent 20 years coaching various levels of baseball, including a decade in Kearney, Neb., six in the Reading, Pa. area, and four in the Harrisburg, Pa. area.
Whitman graduated from Kutztown University in 1987 and went on to play 12 additional years of adult league baseball with teams from Reading and Harrisburg as a catcher, shortstop, and outfielder.
