Scot Adams has been the Head Coach of the Dutchmen Softball program since 2019.
In 2025, Adams guided Lebanon Valley to a 30-15 overall record and its second consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Championship. The Dutchmen also appeared in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament for a third straight year, winning a game at the Cleveland, Ohio Regional. Lebanon Valley was recognized by the conference for its success with six All-MAC Freedom honorees. Holly Grube was also named the conference's Co-Rookie of the Year, while Adams and his assistant coaches earned the MAC Freedom's first Staff of the Year honors. Additionally, Grube was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region IV Team and listed as a finalist for the NFCA National Freshman of the Year award.
In 2024, Adams helped lead the Dutchmen to a 35-10 overall record and a MAC Freedom Championship during the program's first year in the conference. Lebanon Valley won each of its three games during the conference tournament, earning LVC a trip to the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament's Virginia Beach, Va. Regional. In the Regional, the club picked up a pair of victories. The Flying Dutchmen also had six players selected to the All-MAC Freedom Softball Team, while Jordan Walter was named the conference's Pitcher of the Year.
Adams guided Lebanon Valley to a 36-12 overall record in 2023, including a 14-1 mark in conference play. This provided the team with the best regular-season record in the conference and tied the program record for wins in a year. Adams was voted the MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year for the second straight season, after leading the Flying Dutchmen to a historic campaign. LVC earned a spot in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament and hosted its first NCAA Regional in Annville, Pa. The program advanced to the Super Regional and competed against Salisbury University in two hard-fought games. The team also garnered several individual accolades, as Sam Burns was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year, Walter was voted MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Year, and six players were named to the All-MAC Commonwealth Softball Team. Burns, Walter, and Lexi Smith were selected to the NFCA All-Region V First Team as well. Additionally, four players earned spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team and 12 student-athletes received both NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors and selections to the MAC Academic Honor Roll.
In 2022, the Flying Dutchmen finished with an overall record of 26-13 and were tied atop the regular season conference standings with an 11-5 mark in MAC Commonwealth play. The Dutchmen advanced to the MAC Commonwealth Championship game, where they dropped a very close 2-1 decision to Messiah University. Adams was selected as the conference's Coach of the Year for guiding LVC to a strong season. Kylie Balthaser and Morgan Comfort were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Team. Both Balthaser and Comfort were named to the All-MAC Commonwealth Team as First Team selections, while Walter, Julia Craig, Lindsey McCurdy, and Jordan Hess were selected to the Second Team, and Anna Marie Hockman was awarded as an Honorable Mention. A total of eleven players were named to the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2021-22 academic year.
In 2021, Adams helped guide LVC to a 16-16 record and 7-11 in conference play while reaching the MAC Commonwealth semifinals after an upset of second-seeded Stevenson. He coached four All-MAC Commonwealth performers in 2021: McCurdy (First Team), Sarah Musselman (Second Team), Jen Kaufman (Honorable Mention, and Craig (Honorable Mention).
In 2020, the Dutchmen were 6-6 in the early part of their schedule before the season was shut down due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
In his first season as Head Coach, Adams brought the Dutchmen back to the MAC Commonwealth playoffs after clinching a spot in the postseason tournament on the final day of the regular season. LVC compiled a 19-22 overall record and a 7-9 mark in conference action. Adams coached four players who earned All-MAC Commonwealth recognition: Savannah Toth (First Team), Lexi Windsor and Rylee Shockey (Second Team), and Annie McClain (Honorable Mention).
Known especially for his development of top-notch pitchers, Adams returned to LVC after a two-year stint as Head Coach at Albright. Under his tutelage, three Lions earned MAC Commonwealth All-Conference recognition for their efforts this spring.
He served as an Assistant Coach for seven years on the staff of LVC's all-time winningest Head Coach in
Stacey Hollinger. During his seven-year tenure at Lebanon Valley, Adams helped lead the Flying Dutchmen to four NCAA Division III Championship Tournament appearances, three consecutive MAC Commonwealth Championships, and a program record for wins in a single season.
Under Adams, LVC produced four consecutive MAC Commonwealth Pitchers of the Year from 2011-2014 in Laura Snyder, Kristen Palmerio, and Sam Derr (twice). Derr also earned NFCA All-America honors following her senior campaign.
With Adams' help, Derr set records in the spring of 2014, including a no-hitter in the NCAA Tournament after leading the Dutchmen to a MAC Commonwealth title. In 2013, LVC's pitching staff ranked 18th in the nation in ERA (1.69), led by Derr and fellow All-Conference pick Haley Neff as the squad advanced to the NCAA Regional final.
In 2015, Adams helped Neff finish strong down the stretch, as she morphed into the conference's best pitcher over the final two weeks of the season. She won 10 of her last 15 starts, including an NCAA Regional contest, after winning four MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament outings en route to being named the tourney's MVP.
Adams played fastpitch for 21 seasons and was a member of numerous teams from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Massachusetts. He also attended several national tournaments, including six appearances at the Amateur Softball Association of America, five trips to the North American Fastpitch Association National Tournament, three National Softball Association Tournaments, and three International Softball Congress International Tournaments.

His career highlight came in 2007 when his team won the ISC Tournament of Champions title in Kitchener, Ontario, becoming the first American team to win the title.
Other accolades include being named to the NAFA Second Team All-World in 1999 and 2002, and a First Team ASA All-American selection in 2005.
A former pitcher, Adams tallied 19 career no-hitters, 10 of which were perfect games.
