Katie Deardorff `14, a decorated second baseman, left Lebanon Valley's program in May as one of its all-time greats, setting the program record for hits (173), runs (103), and stolen bases (82) while ranking fourth with a career .379 batting average. An outstanding student as well as an athlete, the Academic All-American and MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year will coach while pursuing her doctorate of physical therapy degree at LVC.

In her career, Deardorff was a four-year starter at second base, leading the Dutchmen to two Commonwealth Conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. She was a three-time all-CC selection, three-time CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District pick, and two-time NFCA All-Region honoree. As a senior in 2014, she hit .423 and slugged .500 with 20 stolen bases to be named Academic All-America and to the NCAA Tournament All-Regional team.
