NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College field hockey, men's soccer, and men's golf teams garnered recognition on Tuesday, Sept. 8, as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced in a release that a student-athlete from each program received a weekly award for their efforts during the first week of competition.

Senior forward Claire Weidenhammer was named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week, after playing an integral role in Dutchmen Field Hockey's first win of the season. Sophomore forward Gavin Rapp was also honored as the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week, following his strong performances in the first two victories for LVC's men's soccer team. Additionally, sophomore Brody Rafferty was chosen as the MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week for his production for Lebanon Valley's men's golf team during the first two events of the fall. 

Weidenhammer piled up seven points with three goals and an assist in the Lebanon Valley College field hockey team's 6-0 win over Simmons University on Saturday, Sept. 5, which was the program's lone complete game of the week. Her third goal was the 100th point of her career and her fourth career hat trick. The win also gave first-year Head Coach Sophie Popp her first career victory. Weidenhammer's first MAC Freedom weekly award of the season marks the fourth of her career. The senior was also the last member of the Dutchmen to receive this honor, as she was selected as the conference's Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 21, 2025.
 
Rapp posted a five-point week on two goals and an assist to lead Lebanon Valley's men's soccer team to a 2-0 start. He scored the game-tying goal in the season-opening 3-1 win over Alvernia University on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Rapp then recorded a goal and an assist on the game-winner during the 2-0 victory at Lancaster Bible College on Friday, Sept. 4. LVC's first conference weekly award of the season also marks the first of the sophomore's career. Rapp is the first member of the Flying Dutchmen to be chosen as the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week since current senior Will Burton on Oct. 28, 2025. 
 
Rafferty averaged 77.6 over three rounds to open the season for Dutchmen Men's Golf. He opened with a 77 at the Northampton Cup on Sept. 1, carding a 38-39 with eight pars and three birdies. Rafferty then posted a 156 (76-80) over 36 holes at the Dickinson Fall Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 6, and Monday, Sept. 7, tallying 18 pars and five birdies along the way. This marks the first time Rafferty has been listed as the MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week in his career. Additionally, the sophomore is the first member of LVC to earn this award since current junior Reagan Flynn on Oct. 28, 2025.
