Six Flying Dutchmen Receive Conference Weekly Honors

3/3/2026 11:01:00 AM

NEWTOWN, Pa. – Six Lebanon Valley College student-athletes from four teams were honored by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) for their contributions during the past week of events, as the conference office announced its weekly honors in a release on Tuesday, March 3.

The Lebanon Valley College men's lacrosse team swept the MAC Freedom weekly awards after picking up two victories last week, as sophomore attacker Ryan Grace was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week and first-year midfielder Connor Rowe was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week. LVC's softball team also swept the weekly honors following its first win, as first-year pitcher and outfielder Miley Beachel was chosen as the MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week, while sophomore second baseman and pitcher Holly Grube was recognized as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week. Dutchmen Men's Tennis was presented with an award after its first victory of the spring, as first-year Mason Dissinger was listed MAC Freedom Player of the Week. Additionally, sophomore Katie Berra garnered MAC Freedom Player of the Week accolades for her efforts in Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team's first win of the semester.

Grace totaled 15 points with eight goals and seven assists in a 2-0 week for LVC's men's lacrosse team. He erupted for seven points with five goals and two assists in a 21-5 rout of Albright College on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Grace added eight more points, including the game-winning goal, in a 15-10 victory over Goucher College on Saturday, Feb. 28. This marks the first conference weekly award of Grace's career.

Rowe controlled the faceoff X, winning 37 of 51 attempts while collecting 19 ground balls in two victories. The first-year won 16 faceoffs and scored the first two goals of his collegiate career in the win at Albright on Wednesday. Rowe capped off the standout week by recording 21 faceoff wins and 11 ground balls in the victory over Goucher on Saturday. This is the first time Rowe has been named the Defensive Player of the Week in his career. Additionally, LVC's first two MAC Freedom weekly honors of the season marked the first time the team swept the awards since attacker Jake Bollinger was chosen as the Offensive Player of the Week and current junior defender Sheadan Makosy was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week on April 7, 2025.

Beachel earned a save in her first collegiate pitching appearance for Dutchmen Softball, tossing 2.2 innings to close out a 5-3 win over Marian University on Sunday, March 1. Entering with runners on base, she allowed just one hit to secure the victory. The first-year also struck out a batter during the relief appearance. This is Beachel's first career MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week award.

Grube went 4-for-6 at the plate in two games, highlighted by a solo home run and two RBIs in the victory over Marian on Sunday. She also earned the win in the circle for the Flying Dutchmen, throwing 4.1 innings and striking out a batter to cap a strong all-around performance. Grube's first conference Player of the Week award of the season brings her career total to three weekly honors. Lebanon Valley's first two MAC Freedom weekly awards of the campaign mark the first time the program has swept these accolades in two seasons. Pitcher Erin Sinatra was named the conference's Pitcher of the Week, and current senior shortstop Megan Heard was listed as the Player of the Week on April 22, 2024.

Dissinger secured the match-clinching point for Lebanon Valley's men's tennis team in a 4-3 win over Johnson & Wales University with a straight-set singles victory on Sunday. He also contributed a doubles win and improved to 5-3 on the season. This is the first time Dissinger has been named the MAC Freedom Player of the Week in his career. The Flying Dutchmen have now received four conference weekly honors this season, as the program earned three awards in the fall.

Berra did not drop a game in singles or doubles during a 6-1 win for Dutchmen Women's Tennis over Johnson & Wales on Sunday. She delivered the match-clinching point and remains unbeaten in dual play this season. Berra's first conference weekly award of the season marks the second she has been presented with in her career, as she was chosen as the MAC Freedom Women's Tennis Player of the Week on April 29, 2025. Lebanon Valley has also earned four weekly honors so far during the campaign, following a fall in which the team won three awards.
