Andrew Diaz de Padilla Named LVC Men’s Volleyball Head Coach

2/20/2026 10:00:00 AM

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Patrick Ratke, Director of Athletics, has announced Andrew Diaz de Padilla as the Head Coach of Lebanon Valley College's Men's Volleyball Program at Lebanon Valley College.

Diaz de Padilla comes to The Valley after spending two seasons as the Assistant Coach for the women's volleyball team at Division I Jacksonville University. In 2025, the Dolphins had their best season in over a decade, winning 20 games for the first time since 2014 and earning a conference tournament victory for the first time in 10 years. During his two seasons in Jacksonville, the Dolphins had five All-Atlantic Sun Conference honorees and two student-athletes named to the Conference All-Freshman Team.

"Launching Men's Volleyball at LVC is a landmark moment for our department, the College, and the Middle Atlantic Conference," said Ratke. "Coach Andrew is the ideal leader to bring this vision to life. He combines a proven record of excellence at the Division III level with valuable experience from Jacksonville and a clear, compelling vision for building a championship-caliber culture. Most importantly, he is deeply committed to developing student-athletes on and off the court. We are confident his leadership will inspire our program, unite our campus community, and lay the foundation for long-term success."

Before his stint in Jacksonville, Diaz de Padilla was an Assistant Coach with the Everest Volleyball Club in Twinsburg, Ohio, and an Intern at California Polytechnic State University. He has also worked at numerous summer camps at multiple NCAA schools.

"I am truly honored and grateful to Athletic Director Patrick Ratke and Associate AD Stacey Hollinger for the opportunity to lead Lebanon Valley College as we build Men's Volleyball from the ground up," Diaz de Padilla stated. "From the moment I stepped on campus, I knew this was a unique opportunity I wanted to be a part of. My campus visit made a strong impression; the community is supportive, the people are invested, and the facilities are among the best in Division III. We are going to build a program with clear standards, daily habits, and a culture that athletes are proud to represent, one built on connection, accountability, and gratitude. On the court, we will be committed to developing complete players, competing with discipline and confidence, and peaking at the right time as we chase conference championships. Joining the Middle Atlantic Conference is exactly the kind of challenge I want, and I cannot wait to compete for MAC championships while developing great young men through this experience. I'm excited to join the LVC family and can't wait to get started!"

Diaz de Padilla is a 2022 graduate of Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, with a degree in Sport Management. He was a four-year setter on the men's volleyball team, earning Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Third Team honors during his final year. He helped lead the Terriers to the program's first AMCC title and NCAA Tournament berth in 2021, going undefeated against conference opponents. The 2022 team captain earned Academic All-conference honors three times, was a four-year member of SAAC, and served as President during his senior year. Diaz de Padilla earned his master's degree at Wittenberg University, where he played another two seasons. He was a two-year team captain while leading the Tigers to back-to-back Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League Regular Season Championships. The setter recorded the program's most assists in a four-set match and in a five-set match.
