Lieberman and Men’s Cross Country Wins Third Consecutive Conference Title

10/31/2026 6:30:00 PM

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Lebanon Valley College senior Rory Lieberman won his third consecutive individual title to lead the men's cross country team to its third straight team title on Saturday at the 2026 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships hosted by Stevenson University at the Greenspring Campus Course in Owings Mills, Maryland.

"I was very pleased with our execution today," said Head Coach James O'Brien. "Three in the top five is a new program best; Lukas and Dylan were very solid in our scoring positions, and Liam ran to his first all-conference finish. This is an upperclassmen group that has been working hard together for years, and I'm so happy that they get to experience these moments together. We had good depth beyond that and an opportunity for some of our younger guys to gain meaningful experience that will serve them well as they look to contribute in the future.  We don't take these opportunities for granted and know that it will take a lot for us to be in contention in the fall of 2027."

Lieberman pulled away late to win by 13 seconds with a time of 25:01.2 on the 8,000-meter course. Messiah University's Kaleb Kabakjian was second in 25:14.7. Andrew Namatka finished third with a time of 25:32.2. Wyatt Leitzel was LVC's third finisher in the top five as he finished fifth with a time of 25:41.8. Lukas Walko finished 12th in 26:11.9. Dylan Lenhart rounded out the top five runners with a time of 26:26.3 in 15th place. LVC's top five had a spread of 1:26 and an average time of 25:47.

Liam Allen finished 22nd with a time of 26:37.6. Dylan Miller crossed the line in 27:05.0 to place 36th. Caden Bell was 42nd in a season-best 27:20.6, with Donnie Miller right on his heels in 27:20.9 to finish 43rd. Josh Miller finished 65th with a time of 27:50.3 as LVC's 10th finisher. Cooper Allred placed 72nd with a time of 27:58.1, and Logan Koehn rounded out the Dutchmen in 77th with a time of 28:09.8.

The Dutchmen scored 36 points for the second consecutive year to top the field for the third consecutive year. Messiah was second with 72 points, and DeSales University finished third with 82 points. Stevens Institute of Technology was fourth with 115 points, while conference newcomer Marywood University rounded out the top five with 176 points.

LVC will be back in action in two weeks as they look to qualify for the NCAA National Championships at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship at Lock Haven University on Saturday, November 15.
