HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Lebanon Valley women's tennis team bounced back in a strong way from Sunday's defeat by earning a convincing 7-2 victory over Gordon College at the Hilton Head Resort on Monday afternoon.
LVC (4-2) took two of the three doubles matches from the Fighting Scots (3-10). The Flying Dutchmen then won five of the six singles matches. Four of the five wins were in straight sets.
Inside the Box Score
- Madison Poladian and Sarah Kramer won 8-0 at number two doubles while Eliana Shenk and Jenna Miner teamed up to win 8-2 at number three.
- Shenk was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at number four singles.
- Nicole Honrade won her number one singles match 6-1, 6-2 to improve to 5-1 in duals.
- Meredith Haas was a 6-4, 6-0 winner at number three singles.
- Kendall Halsey won her first singles match of the year 6-2, 6-3 at number six.
- Kramer rallied to win in three sets 1-6, 7-5, 6-2 in the number two flight.
Up Next
The Dutchmen will have a couple days off from matches before closing out the week in Hilton Head on Thursday with a 5 p.m. start against Roanoke College at Hilton Head High School.
