MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's Women's Tennis edged Penn State Harrisburg 5-4 on Friday evening. The Dutchmen are now 1-1 in the Fall while the Lions fall to 0-1.
The Dutchmen finished off the doubles portion of the match with a 2-1 advantage. The duo of
Meredith Haas and
Jacquelyn McBride picked up an 8-4 win at #1 doubles while
Madison Poladian and
Eliana Shenk at the #2 slot also recorded an 8-4 victory.
In singles play, the Dutchmen and Lions each won three matches, but thanks to the doubles success earlier, the Dutchmen won the match 5-4. McBride picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win at #1 singles for LVC. Shenk cruised to a dominant 6-1, 6-1 victory at #4 singles and
Abbie Hoffer picked up a win at #5 singles in straight sets following a tiebreaker win in the first set.
