GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Flying Dutchmen were outscored by the Messiah Falcons on Saturday afternoon's MAC Commonwealth matchup. The Dutchmen dropped to 7-9, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth, and the Falcons advanced to 7-8, 6-0 MAC Commonwealth.
LVC's only win of the day came in No. 1 doubles when
Melanie Haas and
Emily Wilczek beat Kaitlyn Russell and Emily Wichert 8-6.
In No. 1 singles,
Melanie Haas and came close to making the decision go into a tie breaker bringing the second set to a 7-6 decision.
The Dutchmen enter into postseason play on Wednesday, May 1
st, and head back to Grantham, Pa. to take on the Falcons in the MAC Commonwealth tournament semifinal.
