How It Happened
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley broke the school record for the most goals in a game in the Flying Dutchmen's 23-9 rout of Susquehanna on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference women's lacrosse action. LVC improved to 1-1, while the River Hawks dropped to 0-2.

Lebanon Valley was the first to strike 2:24 into the opening half after Veronica Venezia put one on the board with the assist from Makenzie Kelley. Jaclyn Little kept the Dutchmen's lead after a free position tally with 24:59 left in the half. Susquehanna answered back and went on a three point run giving the River Hawks a 3-2 advantage. The home team's lead was short-lived after Bailey Dills evened the score back up with the assist from Brittany Hathaway. The Dutchmen started to gain control of the game with 5:06 left in the first half and went on a four-point run to end the half up 11-6.

Susquehanna was the first to score 2:13 into the half, but it didn't faze the Dutchmen, however, as they kept the momentum from the end of the first half and went on a nine-goal streak with five of the goals coming from Makenzie Kelley creating a 15-goal separation. The River Hawks were able to score one more goal with 0:06 to go in the game, but Lebanon Valley cruised to a 23-9 victory.
