How It Happened
Lebanon Valley put up three runs in each of the first two innings and rode a stellar combined pitching performance by Lexi Windsor and Maddie Abbot to a 7-2 win over Arcadia in a MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament elimination game on Sunday morning.

After Savannah Toth's sacrifice fly plated Sammy Bost in the bottom of the first, Kate Whelski drove in Annie McClain and Windsor with a two-out, two-RBI single to center field to get the Flying Dutchmen (24-14) off on the right track in the early going.

Haley Christensen took advantage of an Arcadia error and scored in the bottom of the next frame and Toth picked up two more RBI when she singled to left field and to drive in Bost and McClain, making it 6-0 LVC after two stanzas.

Windsor allowed just three hits and a pair of runs in five innings of work before Abbot made a relief appearance and surrendered no hits to go along with three strikeouts in the sixth and seventh, respectively.

How It Happened
Maddie Abbot outdueled fellow hurler Madelyn Yannetti in Lebanon Valley's 2-0 victory over No. 7 Messiah in a MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament elimination contest on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Flying Dutchmen (25-14) clinched a berth in the conference title game.

Abbot was sensational for LVC, holding the nationally-ranked Falcons (34-8) to just three hits in a shutout victory. The freshman retired Messiah 1-2-3 in three separate innings.

The Dutchmen took advantage of an error and a wild pitch and scored the game's only runs in the top of the first inning. After singling to lead off the contest, Sammy Bost advanced to second base on Yannetti's errant pitch. Cheyanne Brown reached base on an error and Savannah Toth singled through the right side with two away to drive in a pair of unearned markers.

The Falcons threatened by moving runners into scoring position in the bottom of the third and sixth innings, respectively, but Abbot was able to work out of trouble and strand the runners in both stanzas before retiring Messiah in order in the bottom of the seventh to seal the win.

Inside the Circle
- Maddie Abbot's (14-7) shutout performance was one of her best of the season and came against one of the nation's top teams. She allowed just three hits and a walk to go along with one strikeout.
- Madelyn Yannetti (16-4) suffered just her fourth loss of the season despite giving up no earned runs. She surrendered six hits and walked one batter to go along with three strikeouts.

- The Falcons committed the game's only error. It led to both of LVC's unearned runs.
- Sammy Bost made three putouts in center field, while Kate Whelski assisted on three more at second base.

How It Happened
Lebanon Valley's incredible postseason run ended with the Flying Dutchmen (25-15) falling just short of a MAC Commonwealth Championship. After winning back-to-back games earlier in the day, LVC dropped a late-inning, 4-3 decision to Widener in the conference title game on Sunday afternoon.

The Dutchmen struck first when Elaine Gross' RBI double drove in Lexi Windsor and Savannah Toth in the top of the second inning.

Taylor Allen's lead-off double set the tone for the Pride in the bottom of the third as the team took its first lead of the game, scoring three runs on three hits and an LVC error.

Sammy Bost worked her magic in the top of the fifth, leading off with an infield single and advancing all the way to third base on Annie McClain's single to third base. Bost came home to tie up the score when Cheyanne Brown hit a fielder's choice to center field one at-bat later.

A lead-off walk and an infield single set the table for Widener's Nicole Burt to play the role of hero for the Pride. After Windsor recorded back-to-back strikeouts, Burt singled up the middle with two away to bring home what proved to be the winning run.

With two down, LVC brought the game-winning run to the plate in the top of the seventh but couldn't push a run across.

Inside the Circle
- Lexi Windsor (10-6) was solid in her second outing of the day, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks. She also struck out seven batters.
- One day after being no hit by Widener's Alex Schengrund, LVC chased her from the game after 3.1 innings. Schengrund allowed two runs on four hits and a walk.
- Ally Horvath (10-3) picked up the win for the Pride after giving up one run on three hits in the final 3.2 frames.
