How It Happened
ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Richard Stockton broke a 5-5 tie late in the second half and scored three straight goals en route to a 9-6 win over Lebanon Valley in the Division III ECAC Mid-Atlantic Women's Lacrosse Tournament Semifinal game on Saturday afternoon.

The No. 3 seed Dutchmen were eliminated, while the No. 2 seed Ospreys will play in tomorrow's championship game against No. 1 Muhlenberg, who defeated No. 4 Marymount (Va.) 17-13 earlier this afternoon.

Down 5-2 at halftime, LVC (11-8) responded with a furious comeback to open up second-half action. The Dutchmen scored three goals in a row, including one from Sam Boyce, her 52nd of the year, and two from the Dutchmen's leading scorer, Emma Jones, who netted back-to-back tallies for her 55th and 56th goals of the year to tie the game at 5-5 midway through the second.

However, Stockton (13-5) answered LVC's comeback with three consecutive goals of their own from three different goal scorers to take an 8-5 lead with just under eight minutes remaining. Jones reached the hat trick and scored with less than four minutes to go to bring the Dutchmen within two at 8-6, however the Ospreys' Mary Schmid found the back of the net with just over three minutes to go to put Stockton back up by three and put the game out of reach.

In the first half, Makenzie Kelley scored the game's first goal with LVC on the player advantage six minutes into action. Stockton followed with two goals separated by a minute and a half to take a 2-1 advantage midway through. Alyse Bingham tied things up for the Dutchmen with just over 13 minutes left in the first, but the Ospreys finished out the opening half on a 3-0 run and took a 5-2 lead into halftime.
