41st Annual Dutchmen Invitational
at Union Canal Tunnel Park, Lebanon, Pa.
LEBANON, Pa. - Lebanon Valley's women, paced by individual winner
Kelsey Patrick, won their team title and
Michael Harnish captured the men's race to highlight the 41st Annual Dutchmen Invitational at Union Canal Tunnel Park.
Patrick, the 2012 MAC medalist, cruised in 18:22 to win by 22 seconds over Eastern's Josey Rupert, and the Dutchmen put all five scorers in the top 10 with
Megan Doris and
Cynthia Adams finishing third and fourth, respectively, with
Dana Stockdale and
Lauren Decker coming in ninth and tenth.
The men's front three headed the pack all race long, with Harnish outrunning the field in 26:42 and
Eliott Bonds closing hard to tip King's Robert Moulton at the line for second ahead of fourth-place
Andrew Goelz.
King's won the men's race, with LVC in third behind them and Misericordia. In the women's team standings, Widener and Misericordia trailed LVC, which scored a superb 27 points. In the earlier high school races, St. Joe's Prep won the high school boys' race with Central York's JD Groff winning individually, and the Palmyra girls defended their team title behind overall winner Miranda Salvo.

Doris and Adams stayed together for strong finished, while Stockdale and Decker closed well to secure their top 10 finishes. They led a big 19-runner roster for the Dutchmen, which also included
Alyssa Miller (25th),
Hannah Jones (27th),
Rachel Eyler (30th),
Alisha Farrell (31st), and Rebecca Stitler (35th) among finishers in the top 35.
Freshman
Ian Brown was the men's fourth finisher, running a strong 23rd place, and
Jonathan Riley placed 42nd to be the fifth man ahead of
Ibsen Powers (47th) and
Christopher Black (51st).
