ANNVILLE, Pa. - The LVC women's tennis team set a program record for wins Wednesday, beating the University of Scranton, 6-3, to go to 15-3 overall in 2007-08.
The Dutchmen won two doubles points and four of six singles flights to reach the mark.
LVC swept the top three flights as Sarah Grodzinski won a tough battle at No. 1 singles, beating Gretchen Sullivan 7-6, 6-4. Leslie Sabas won at No. 2, 6-4, 6-2, over Deirdre Wylie, and Kelly Moll was a winner at No. 3 with a 6-2, 6-3 victory against Danielle Red. Shayna Heintzelman beat Caroline Curtin, 6-1, 6-2, to win at No. 5.
Scranton won two flights, as Danielle Wylie beat Charissa Nordall, 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 and Chelsea Paskman topped Sara Wagner, 6-1, 4-6, 10-7, at No. 6.
