ANNVILLE, Pa. – Competing in its final dual match of the season, the Lebanon Valley College men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to King's College in a non-conference outing Tuesday afternoon at the LVC Tennis Courts.
King's (14-6) won two of three doubles contests, then split the six singles matches to earn the one-point victory.
Lebanon Valley (7-10) received singles wins from freshman Matt Grodzinski at No. 3, junior Zach Kaufman at No. 4, and sophomore Jared Zeigler at No. 5. Grodzinski is now 15-5 on the season and has won nine of his last 11 matches.
Junior Shawn Becker and senior Erik Vargo captured the Valley's lone doubles victory, winning at No. 2 to improve to 14-7. They have won 11 of their last 12 matches.
Lebanon Valley closes its season on Saturday and Sunday, when it competes in the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Individual Tournament.
