HERSHEY, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College ice hockey team saw its 2006-07 season come to an end with a 6-0 ECAC West loss to Utica College on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at the Hersheypark Arena.

Utica (12-7-3, 6-4-3 ECAC West) scored two goals in each period while posting its second shutout in three games.

Dave Werner led the Pioneers with two goals and two assists while Randy Bauer and Jeff Pappalardi handed out two assists apiece. Zach Gieszler added one goal and one assist.

Freshman Aaron Miller made 33 saves in goal for Lebanon Valley (2-22-1, 0-14-1 ECAC West). He finished the year with a single-season school record 763 saves,  131 more than the previous record.

Adam Dekker started in net for Utica and made 10 saves over the first two periods before Anthony Luckow came on to stop eight shots in the final 20 minutes.

Both teams struggled on the power-play. With a man advantage, Utica went 1-for-10 while the Dutchmen were 0-for-9.
