GRANTHAM, Pa. - No. 2 Messiah College played a nearly flawless game as it defeated Lebanon Valley College, 5-0, in Commonwealth Conference women's soccer action Saturday.
The Dutchmen (9-6-1, 1-2 CC) did not manage a shot in the game. The Falcons (15-0, 3-0 CC) took 36 shots.
Corrie Jones put the Falcons on the board in the first half before Jen Michener added a goal off Katie Hoffsmith's assist to send the game to a 2-0 halftime break.
Messiah didn't let up as Jones hit her second four minutes into the half. Steph Rowe made it 4-0 thanks to Erin Hench's pass, and Jennifer Myhre struck 10 minutes from time to round out the scoring.
Junior Erika Ely made 12 saves. Brindley Beckwith did not make a stop in earning the win.
LVC will visit Widener University for a must-win Commonwealth Conference game Wednesday at 4 p.m.
