READING, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College volleyball team improved to 2-0 in Commonwealth Conference play Tuesday, besting Albright College, 3-0 (30-11, 30-20, 30-23) at the Bollman Center.
The Flying Dutchmen (13-6, 2-0 CC) beat the Lions (2-10, 0-2 CC) for the second time this season. The two teams also met on Sept. 22 at York College, with LVC winning 3-0.
Junior Margaret Prebula led the way in the hitting department, throwing down 11 kills. Freshman Emily Hopkins added seven kills of her own. The Dutchmen hit .312 with just three errors in a blistering game one that saw LVC win 30-11.
The Dutchmen served well, with freshman Joelle Snyder racking up four service aces and senior Jess Kender serving three aces. Sophomore Christa Vrabel dug out 10 balls, while freshman Jess Raber and junior Brandi Roth each had seven digs apiece.
Albright's Keri Wischner hit a match-high 12 kills.
LVC will host a two-day quad this weekend, hosting Dickinson College, Baptist Bible College and Frostburg State starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday night.
