TOWSON, Md. - The Lebanon Valley College women's tennis team continued to roll through its fall schedule, blanking Goucher College 9-0 Tuesday afternoon.
The Dutchmen (6-1) didn't win as easily as the score would suggest, however; three singles matches went to super-tiebreakers against the Gophers (3-2)
Lebanon Valley led 3-0 after winning the doubles points, marking the first time all season that Goucher had been swept in doubles.
The Dutchmen had to grit out three-set wins at Nos. 4 through 6 singles, starting at No. 4 where freshman Shayna Heintzelman came back from a set down to win, 3-6, 6-1, 10-7. Junior Sara Wagner won No. 5, 6-1, 4-6, 10-5, and freshman Kim DeLone had a long day at No. 6, winning 7-5, 4-6, 11-9 in a battle with Stella Day.
LVC will pick up its Commonwealth Conference schedule at Albright College at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
