ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Elizabethtown College scored 2:22 into the game, and Lebanon Valley was unable to come up with the equalizer as the Blue Jays defeated the Flying Dutchwomen 2-0 in a Commonwealth Conference women’s soccer match Saturday evening.

Keely Trumbo scored early for Elizabethtown (5-3-1, 1-0 CC), ranked No. 8 in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region poll. Brooke Dotterer provided an insurance tally for the Blue Jays in the 59th minute.

Sophomore Erika Ely made 11 saves in goal for Lebanon Valley (1-6-2, 0-3 CC) while Dawn Mellen collected four saves for E-town.

Lebanon Valley picks up its schedule on Monday, when it plays the second of three-straight night match. The Dutchwomen visit Kean University in a non-conference affair starting at 7:30 p.m.
