EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. – Junior Erik Vargo won at No. 1 singles for his ninth consecutive victory, but the Lebanon Valley College men’s tennis team lost 6-1 at Wilkes University in a non-conference match Sunday afternoon.

Wilkes (9-2) got out to a 1-0 lead after sweeping all three doubles matches before claiming five of the six singles contests.

Vargo, now 10-3 on the season, knocked off Kyle Ungvarsky 6-1, 6-3 to cap off a perfect 4-0 week. 

Lebanon Valley (5-7) picks up its schedule next Sunday, when it hosts the University of Scranton at 1 p.m. in another non-conference affair.
