UTICA, N.Y. – The Lebanon Valley College ice hockey team lost by a 9-0 count to No. 9 Utica College in ECAC West action Saturday evening at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
Lebanon Valley (0-7, 0-4 ECAC West), facing a ranked opponent for the second straight game, received a season-high 37 saves from sophomore goalie Kelly Curl.
The Dutchmen trailed 4-0 at the end of the second period before Utica (3-1-1, 3-0-1) put the game away with five third-period goals.
The Pioneers received goals from eight different players.
Utica’s Anthony Luvkow made 16 saves to earn a shutout.
Freshman Aaron Miller started in goal for the Dutchmen and made 11 saves before leaving the game after yielding Utica’s first three goals.
Lebanon Valley takes 12 days off before returning home to take on ECAC West foe Elmira College on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Hersheypark Arena.
