Susquehanna Defeats Volleyball, 3-2

SELINSGROVE, Pa.  – Senior Natalie Goodfellow threw down a match-high 30 kills, but the Lebanon Valley College volleyball team fell to host Susquehanna 3-2 in a Commonwealth Conference match Tuesday evening.

Lebanon Valley (16-7, 2-3 CC) captured Game 1, 30-28, before dropping the next two sets, 30-25 and 30-24. LVC rallied to win Game 4, 30-18, but Susquehanna held on with a 15-10 Game 5 win.

Ainsley Catagnus led the Crusaders (13-14, 2-3 CC) with 25 kills while Katie Peters notched eight blocks (six solo), leading a 17-block performance by the Crusaders. Catagnus also had eight blocks (four solo).

Goodfellow, who recorded her fourth 30-kill match of the season, also had 12 digs. Sophomore Margaret Prebula added 12 kills for the Valley while freshman Whitney Meyers and sophomore Brandi Roth had nine kills apiece. Roth also posted 21 digs while junior Jill Miller came up with 22 digs of her own. Sophomore Erin Yost handed out 56 assists.

Kellye Schroeder posted a match-high 30 digs for Susquehanna.

Lebanon Valley returns to action on Saturday, when it competes in a tri-match at Lycoming. LVC takes on Lycoming at 10 a.m. before facing Pitt-Johnstown at noon.
