CHESTER, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College men’s and women’s swimming teams were swept by Widener University in a dual meet on Friday evening.
The men’s team lost 131-62 while the women’s squad came up on the short end of a 121-81 decision.
Highlighting the night for the men’s team was senior Isaac Greene, who won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:11.20 and finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in 57.42. In addition, freshman Kevin Carney took second in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.65) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:07.45).
The women’s team was paced by junior Danielle Kern, who won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 12:19.17. She also took second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:13.80), as did freshman Lauren Horst in the 500-yard freestyle (6:12.13), and freshman Annmarie Errico in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.97).
Lebanon Valley competes in its final dual meet of the season on Tuesday, when it hosts Susquehanna University at 7 p.m.
