DALLAS, Pa. – Sophomore Ashley Wells scored her second collegiate goal, but Lebanon Valley lost 2-1 to host Misericordia in LVC’s season opener Saturday afternoon.

With around six minutes remaining and LVC trailing 2-0, Wells deposited a header off a volley from freshman Amy Holubik following a corner kick.

Misericordia went ahead 1-0 when it scored in the 42nd minute, then padded its lead with another goal in the 74th minute.

Senior Jess Conrad took the loss in goal for LVC.

No further details of the game were available as of 9:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

Lebanon Valley plays its home opener on Thursday in a non-conference affair against Ursinus, starting at 4 p.m.
