ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley defeated Lycoming 9-0 in a non-conference women's tennis match Saturday afternoon at the LVC Tennis Courts.
It was the second straight match to start the season that Lebanon Valley won all nine points after beating Eastern 9-0 on Thursday. It was also the second straight match in which LVC won all six singles matches in straight sets.
Winning at first through sixth singles, respectively, and improving to 2-0 on the season were sophomore Leslie Sabas, freshman Kelly Moll, senior Jenny Larson, senior Amanda Lubold, senior Angie Petiak, and freshman Charissa Nordall.
All three doubles tandems also improved to 2-0. Moll and Sabas won 8-4 at No. 1 while Larson and freshman Jan White were victorious by an 8-2 count at No. 2. Nordall and Petiak scored an 8-0 win at No. 3.
Lebanon Valley will take 12 days off before returning to action on Tuesday, Sept. 13, when it hosts Moravian College at 3:30 p.m. in LVC's Commonwealth Conference opener.
