CHESTER, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women’s soccer team continued to play solid defense, but host Widener University shut out the Flying Dutchmen 1-0 in the Commonwealth Conference opener for both teams Wednesday evening.
Lebanon Valley (0-6, 0-1 CC) has now limited its opponent to just one goal four times this season and has allowed only eight goals total, but has been shut out in its last five matches.
Widener improved to 5-2 and 1-0 in the Commonwealth.
Senior Jess Conrad took the loss in goal for Lebanon Valley.

Lebanon Valley will seek its first win of the year on Saturday when it hosts St. Mary’s (Md.) College on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in a non-conference game.
