NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Senior Jess Conrad saved nine shots and shut out host Christopher Newport in regulation, but the Lady Captains scored in the 100th minute to break a scoreless tie and earn a 1-0 win in non-conference women’s soccer action Saturday evening.

Lebanon Valley (0-5-0) has allowed only seven goals for the season, but has now lost 1-0 in three of its last four matches.

Christopher Newport (3-2-0) out-shot Lebanon Valley 25-5. The Lady Captains also had an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Lebanon Valley plays its third straight night game on Wednesday, when it hosts Widener at 7 p.m. in LVC’s Commonwealth Conference opener.
