CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Randy Sturm scored on a penalty kick 14 seconds before the end of the first half, and it was all the scoring DeSales would need as the Bulldogs defeated Lebanon Valley 1-0 in non-conference men’s soccer action Thursday afternoon.

Lebanon Valley (1-4-0) has now lost four 1-0 game this season. DeSales improved to 4-1 with the win.

Freshman Tim Mehl had another solid game in goal for the Dutchmen, making a season-high five saves.

Rusty Riedmiller stopped two shots for the Bulldogs.

DeSales out-shot LVC 11-9.

Lebanon Valley returns to action on Saturday, when it hosts Goucher at 1 p.m. in another non-conference outing.
