ANNVILLE, Pa. – Senior Jenny Larson set a school record for career doubles victories and the Lebanon Valley women's tennis team opened its 2005-06 season with a 9-0 win over Eastern University Thursday afternoon at the LVC Tennis Courts.
Larson teamed up with freshman Jan White to record an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles. Larson's victory was the 26th of her career, one better than the previous record set by Kelly Stauffer '04 from 2000-04.
Lebanon Valley received straight-set victories in all six singles matches. Winning at first through sixth singles, respectively, were sophomore Leslie Sabas, freshman Kelly Moll, Larson, senior Amanda Lubold, senior Angie Petiak, and freshman Charissa Nordall.
Moll and Sabas also teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles while Nordall and Petiak came out on top at third doubles.
Lebanon Valley returns to the courts on Saturday, when it hosts Lycoming College at 1 p.m. in another non-conference match.
