ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College swimming teams split a dual meet against host Elizabethtown College on Tuesday evening.
The men’s team came away with a 116-80 while the women’s squad dropped a 112-88 decision.
Lebanon Valley’s men’s team is now 3-2 while the women are 3-4.
Senior Isaac Greene and freshman Kevin Carney led the way with three wins apiece. Competing in his hometown, Greene captured the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:59.60), the 200-yard IM (2:09.81), and the 500-yard freestyle (5:16.42) while Carney touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.37), the 100-yard butterfly (57.14 seconds), and the 100-yard backstroke (59.47 seconds). Sophomore Jared Wilkerson added a victory in the 100-yard freestyle (54.04 seconds).
Lebanon Valley’s 200-yard freestyle relay team also came out on top. Freshman Will Everhard, freshman Scott Beesley, Wilkerson, and sophomore Matt Woods were timed at 1:40.37.
The women’s team received its lone victory from freshman Allison Sweigart, who won the 100-yard freestyle in 58.97 seconds.
Lebanon Valley returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 10, when it hosts Susquehanna University at 1 p.m. in the team’s last final meet before semester break.
