WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Freshmen Kevin Carney and Allison Sweigart set one school record apiece as the Lebanon Valley College swimming teams picked up a combined three victories at King’s College on Saturday.

Lebanon Valley’s men’s team (2-2) defeated King’s College 118-68 while the Valley women (3-3) scored a 66-29 win over Cabrini and a 84-9 win over King’s.

Both LVC squads won eight of 11 events and the men’s team swept first through third in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly.

Carney broke the Lebanon Valley record in the 500-yard freestyle, touching the wall first in 5:07.07. Sweigart established an LVC record in the 100-yard butterfly, winning in a 1:05.96 clocking.

Both teams return to the water on Tuesday, when they visit Elizabethtown College in a dual meet at 6 p.m.
