ANNVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore Donna Geiger scored in the 11th minute and senior Jess Conrad saved five shots for her second shutout of the season as Lebanon Valley picked up its first win of the season, blanking Eastern University 1-0 in non-conference women’s soccer action Wednesday afternoon at Herbert Field.

Lebanon Valley bumped its record to 1-7-2 while Eastern, which had won its previous nine outings, slipped to 9-3.

Geiger recorded her first collegiate goal when she poked in a loose ball off a scramble in the right side of the box. Lebanon Valley’s defense would make it stand up, and LVC has now held its opponents to zero or one goal in eight of its 10 matches this season.

The Eagles out-shot LVC 7-5 in the opening half and hit the crossbar with two of their shots. Eastern held a 14-12 edge in shots for the game.

Conrad’s win was the 23rd of her career, and she moved to within one victory of the career school record held by Suzanne Becker ’02.

Amanda Develer stopped two shots in goal for Eastern.

Lebanon Valley wraps up its three-game homestand on Saturday, when it hosts Susquehanna University during Homecoming in a Commonwealth Conference match starting at noon.
