SCRANTON, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College volleyball team concluded its regular season on Saturday afternoon with a tri-match at the University of Scranton.
Lebanon Valley (25-5) swept Scranton 3-0 (30-26, 30-16, 30-28) before losing 3-2 (28-30, 30-24, 28-30, 30-21, 15-12) to Gallaudet University.
Gallaudet snapped LVC’s nine-match winning streak.
Senior Lexi Horstman and junior Natalie Goodfellow led the way against Scranton. Horstman had 17 and two block solos while Goodfellow totaled 15 kills and three blocks. Freshman Margaret Prebula also had eight kills. Senior Cat Roth handed out 45 assists to go with 14 digs while senior Katie Ferree came up with 11 digs. Freshman Erin Yost served up three aces.
Goodfellow paced LVC against Gallaudet, throwing down 21 kills to go with 10 digs and three aces. Horstman had 10 kills while Prebula added seven kills and four blocks. Ferree pumped out a season-high 30 digs while freshmen Brandi Roth and Jill Miller had 15 and 10 digs, respectively. Cat Roth distributed 31 assists.
Lebanon Valley hosts Elizabethtown College on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in a Commonwealth Conference championship tournament semifinal.
