ANNVILLE, Pa. – Jenna Russo scored an unassisted goal in the 87th minute, breaking a scoreless tie and giving Elizabethtown a 1-0 Commonwealth Conference victory over Lebanon Valley Saturday afternoon at Herbert Field.

Elizabethtown (7-3, 1-0 CC), playing its Commonwealth Conference opener, out-shot LVC 19-6 and held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Senior Jess Conrad finished with a season-high 10 saves for Lebanon Valley (0-7-2, 0-2 CC), which lost its fifth 1-0 game of the season and its sixth one-goal game this year.

Conrad also recorded her 300th career save with her ninth stop of the match. She is second on the school’s all-time saves list, trailing only Michele Weber ’99, who had 424 from 1996-98.

Pam Ostroski stopped three shots to earn the shutout for the Blue Jays.

Lebanon Valley picks up its schedule on Wednesday, when it hosts Eastern University in a non-conference game starting at 4 p.m.
