ANNVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore Keri Foster (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) went on a three-goal scoring spree to lead the Lebanon Valley College women's soccer team to a 4-1 win over Widener Saturday afternoon at Herbert Field in LVC's Commonwealth Conference opener. 

Lebanon Valley improved to 4-2-1 and 1-0-0 in the Commonwealth while Widener fell to 4-2-2 and 1-1-0 in conference play.

Foster scored off a breakaway in the 34th minute, then picked up her second goal of the game on a penalty kick four minutes later. Foster found the back of the net again on another penalty kick in the 62nd minute to complete the hat trick.

Senior Ilyse Resnick (Holland, Pa./Council Rock) kicked in the first goal of the game during the 30th minute on a crossing feed from Foster.

Widener's lone goal was scored by sophomore Megan Whalen, connecting with an indirect kick from junior Megan Donato after 76 minutes.

Junior Jess Conrad (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) stopped all 11 shots she faced to record her 20th career victory and second win of the season. Freshman Holly Walton (Galloway, N.J./Pilgrim Academy) relieved Conrad in the 66th minute and made four saves while allowing one goal.

Widener out-shot Lebanon Valley 18-10.

The Flying Dutchmen continue their season on Tuesday, when they host Franklin & Marshall in a non-conference match up.
