Giaquinto’s Game-Winner Lifts Women’s Soccer in Double OT

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Senior Lisa Giaquinto (Saylorsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) scored the game-winning goal in the 103rd minute to lift Lebanon Valley over DeSales 1-0 in double overtime in women's soccer action Wednesday afternoon.

Lebanon Valley improved to 3-2-1 while DeSales fell to 3-4-0.

Giaquinto took a loose ball in front of the net and fired it into the upper right corner of the net for her second goal of the season.

Junior Jess Conrad (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) made five saves in goal to record her first shutout of the season. With her victory, Conrad also became Lebanon Valley's all-time leader in goalie wins. She now has 19 career victories, one more than previous record-holder Stacey Delano '04.

Lebanon Valley out-shot DeSales 23-14.

The Flying Dutchmen open their Commonwealth Conference schedule on Saturday, when they host Widener University at noon.
