SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna won two of three doubles matches, then captured five of six singles contests en route to a 7-2 victory over Lebanon Valley in a Commonwealth Conference match Saturday afternoon.
Lebanon Valley (2-1, 1-1 CC) lost for the first time this year after starting 2-0. Susquehanna (3-0) won its third match in a row to open the season.
Juniors Jenny Larson (Kelso, Wash./Kelso) and Angie Petiak (Wapwallopen, Pa./Berwick) accounted for LVC’s lone doubles point, as the pair captured an 8-5 decision at No. 3 doubles to improve to 3-0 on the season. Junior Amanda Lubold (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) won the only singles match for the Valley, as she earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory at the No. 4 slot while hiking her record to 3-0.
Lebanon Valley returns to the courts on Sunday, when it hosts Waynesburg College in a non-conference match starting at 1 p.m.
