Box Score

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Junior center Jennifer Northcott (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) scored a game-high 13 points and tore down 10 rebounds, leading No. 23 Lebanon Valley to a 58-32 victory over Albright College in Commonwealth Conference women's basketball action Tuesday evening at the LVC Gymnasium.

Lebanon Valley improved to 16-2 and 7-2 in the Commonwealth with the win while Albright fell to 6-11 and 1-8 in conference play.

All 11 LVC players who dressed for the game saw playing time and 10 Flying Dutchmen found their way into the scoring column.

Northcott shot 6-for-8 from the field, and her double-double was her ninth of the season.

Albright was led by senior center Lauren Finnigan (Berlin, N.J./Eastern), who recorded a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.

Sophomore forward Terri Faust (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) added 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting in 11 minutes off the bench while junior guard Erin Eaby (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) had nine points. Junior forward Tamika Rogers (Baltimore, Md./Milford Academy) tallied six points, eight rebounds and three blocks while junior guard Crystal Gibson (Randallstown, Md./Randallstown) recorded four points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals.

The Lions' 32 points marked the lowest offensive output by an LVC opponent since the team's 104-31 victory over Baptist Bible on Dec. 1, 2001.

The win was never in doubt for LVC, which never trailed. The Valley broke out to a 13-2 lead with 11:30 left in the first half and gradually began to pull away. The Dutchmen carried a 28-10 lead into halftime after holding Albright to 16.0% shooting.

The Lions trailed by 16 (30-14) with 16:28 to go, but the Valley put the game away with a 12-0 run over the next 5:12. LVC's lead would not dip below 21 the rest of the way.

Lebanon Valley held Albright to 21.2% shooting for the game. The Lions committed 28 turnovers.

LVC shot 39.1% from the floor and 41.2% (7-for-17) at the foul line.

Neither team had much success from three-point territory, with Albright shooting 1-for-11 from beyond the arc and LVC hitting just 1 of 9 three-point attempts.

Lebanon Valley returns to action on Thursday when they host Delaware Valley College at 7 p.m. in a MAC non-conference game.
