ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women’s soccer team fell to No. 3 Messiah College 4-0 in a Commonwealth Conference match Wednesday afternoon.
With the loss, LVC fell to 7-5-2 and 2-3-0 in the Commonwealth. Messiah kept its undefeated record intact, improving to 13-0-1 and winning its eighth straight match.
The Falcons scored a pair of goals in the first half, then added two more tallies over a 1:18 span late in the second stanza.
Messiah out-shot the Valley 24-1 and held a 12-1 advantage in penalty corners. Junior Jess Conrad (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) made eight saves for the Flying Dutchmen.
Lebanon Valley returns to action on Saturday, when it hosts Juniata College at 1 p.m. in another Commonwealth match.
