ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore Isaac Greene (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) and freshman Tim Fry (Etters, Pa./Red Lion) won two events apiece and the Lebanon Valley College men’s swimming team picked up its second win of the season after defeating Elizabethtown College 88-72 in a Commonwealth Conference meet Tuesday evening.

The women’s team was also in action and dropped a 101-91 decision to the Blue Jays.

Lebanon Valley improved to 2-3 and 1-2 in the Commonwealth on the men’s side. The women’s team fell to 0-6 and 0-4 within the conference.

Greene, competing in his hometown, won the 1,000-free in 11:16.47 and captured the 500-free in 5:20.48. He also swam the fastest time in the 200-IM but was disqualified from the event.

Fry captured both the 100-free (52.93 seconds) and the 50-free (23.33 seconds).

Freshman Matt Woods (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) won the 100-fly (1:01.93) for the Flying Dutchmen while senior Taylor Reinhard (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) captured the 100-breast (1:10.41).

Reinhard, Woods, Fry and senior Adam Demchak (Annville, Pa./Annville-Cleona) won the 200-free relay in 1:40.77.

On the women’s side, Lebanon Valley earned first-place points in four events that Elizabethtown exhibitioned. Freshman Hella Bloom (Reading, Pa./Central Catholic) was first in the 100-back (1:17.09) as was classmate Danielle Kern (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) in the 500-free (6:18.96) and freshman Hannah Plimpton (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill) in the 100-breast (1:17.42). In addition, the 200-free relay team of junior Joanna Tiedeken (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West), freshman Karoline Jost (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley), senior Kristen Stichler (Cleona, Pa./Cedar Crest) and sophomore Sam Meglino (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) won the 200-free relay (1:58.49).

Lebanon Valley competes in its final meet before semester break when it hosts College Misericordia on Saturday, Dec. 6 in a non-conference meet.
