YORK, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College volleyball team built a 2-1 lead, but couldn’t hold off a York College rally, as the Spartans came back for a 3-2 (24-30, 30-20, 27-30, 30-28, 15-12) non-conference victory Thursday evening.
Freshman Natalie Goodfellow (York, Pa./Spring Grove) led the Flying Dutchmen (18-13) with a career-high 20 kills. Bahn, who also had 17 digs and three blocks, is now only 19 kills from becoming just the second player in LVC history to reach 1,000 career kills. Natalie Baruka ’97 is Lebanon Valley’s career leader in kills with 1,285.
Sophomore Katie Ferree (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro) led the Valley defensively with 21 digs while senior Sherri Pursel (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) added 16 digs. Sophomore Cat Roth (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) notched 57 assists and three blocks.
Lebanon Valley concludes its regular season on Saturday when it travels to the Eastern University Tournament. The game will be the first LVC athletic contest ever to be played at the new LVC Gymnasium.
