ANNVILLE, Pa. – Elizabethtown College won two of three doubles matches and five out of six singles contests as the Blue Jays defeated Lebanon Valley 7-2 in Commonwealth Conference women’s tennis action Saturday afternoon at the LVC Tennis Courts.
Junior Amora Cook (Schaefferstown, Pa./ELCO) and senior Jenelle Zeigler (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) teamed up for a victory at first doubles, winning by a count of 8-6. Cook was perfect in singles play, winning all 12 sets in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 2 singles.
LVC takes just one day off before picking up its schedule on Monday with a non-league road match against Lycoming College at 3:30 p.m.
