EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore Scott Montgomery (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna) scored LVC’s only goal as the Lebanon Valley College men’s soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to Wilkes University at Ralston Field Saturday afternoon.
Lebanon Valley lost its first game of the season after starting 2-0-1. Wilkes improved to 1-1-2.
The Colonels scored three unanswered goals before the Flying Dutchmen got on the scoreboard with Montgomery’s tally midway through the second half.
Wilkes held a 10-9 shots on goal advantage and a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
Junior Christian Koch (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) made two saves in net in a losing effort. Justin Bagley made four stops for Wilkes.
LVC returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Delaware Valley College at 4 p.m. in another non-league contest.
