SELINSGROVE, Pa. – First-year student Megan Brillhart (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) delivered 22 kills, six blocks and two service aces, leading the Lebanon Valley College volleyball team to a 3-1 victory at Susquehanna University in Commonwealth Conference action Wednesday evening.
Lebanon Valley (15-7, 2-0 Commonwealth) downed the Crusaders (10-5, 1-1) by scores of 30-24, 29-31, 30-24 and 30-25.
Topping the Flying Dutchmen with 17 digs was first-year student Katie Ferree (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro) while fellow rookie Catherine Roth (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) handed out 47 assists and three blocks. Lexi Horstman (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin), yet another first-year student making an impact this season, contributed with 15 kills, two blocks and one ace. Sophomore Amanda Bahn (York, Pa./Spring Grove) was good for 13 digs, four blocks and three aces. Senior Steph George (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) supplied four aces.
LVC takes a brief respite from its schedule before hosting Messiah College on Tuesday in another Commonwealth match-up.
