GRANTHAM, Pa. – Lebanon Valley suffered a 9-1 setback at ninth-ranked Messiah College in a Commonwealth Conference men’s soccer match Wednesday evening.
LVC lost back-to-back matches for the first time this year and fell to 7-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the Commonwealth. Messiah improved to 11-1 and 3-0 in conference play.
Messiah jumped to a 3-0 halftime edge and never looked back. Senior Grant Walter’s (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) second half goal was his fifth of the season and just the second allowed all year by the Falcons.
The Flying Dutchmen return to action on Saturday when they host Franklin & Marshall in a non-conference match starting at 11 a.m.
