BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The LVC men’s soccer team fell to Moravian College 2-0 in a Commonwealth Conference contest Saturday afternoon.
Lebanon Valley (7-2-2, 2-1-1 Commonwealth), ranked eighth in the most recent NSCAA/Adidas Mid-Atlantic Division III Poll, was shut out for only the second time this season.
After 77 minutes of scoreless play, the Greyhounds scraped together two goals within in a four-minute span. Defender Ken Macauley got Moravian on the board with a feed from midfielder Jim Feimster. Daniel Samuelsson added an insurance goal off an assist from midfielder Mike Grillo.
Moravian out-shot LVC 25-9 as junior Christian Koch (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) had a busy day in net making 13 saves in the loss.
Vinny Nasuta came up with six stops for Moravian.
The Flying Dutchmen return to conference play on Wednesday when they travel to Messiah, ranked first in the nation, at 7 p.m.
