SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Kate Lamplugh (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland) scored in the 83rd minute for force overtime but Lebanon Valley was shut out the rest of the way and settled for a 1-1 tie at Susquehanna University Saturday afternoon in a Commonwealth Conference women’s soccer match.
After a scoreless first half Susquehanna (6-7-3, 3-1-2 Commonwealth) opened the scoring in the 64th minute when Lindsay Nevins converted off an assist from Erin Trumbower. LVC (10-5-1, 2-2-1 Commonwealth) answered back when first-year student Jessica Stolzfus (Souderton, Pa./Christopher Dock) delivered a cross from the left flank to Lamplugh, who headed the ball into the net for her team-leading 13th goal of the season.
Jess Conrad (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) stopped a pair of shots for the Valley as her record moved to 6-4-1. Susquehanna’s Melissa Karschner made six saves.
LVC returns to Commonwealth action on Wednesday when it travels to Albright College in a 3 p.m. start.
